Why We Keep Coming Back to Moama Waters Holiday Park!
If you're looking for one of the best family-friendly holiday parks in Victoria, Moama Waters Holiday Park should be at the top of your list. With multiple pools, waterslides, three jumping pillows, river access and spacious sites, it's one of the few parks we've returned to again and again.
For years, we stayed at the same holiday park whenever we visited. One weekend, however, it was fully booked, so we decided to try Moama Waters Holiday Park instead — and wow, we're glad we did.
We loved everything about this park. It is so spacious that it never feels crowded, even during busy periods. The main pool is huge, and we've never had trouble finding a seat around the pool area.
The facilities are what really set this park apart. With three jumping pillows, two swimming pools, waterslides, a water play area, a flying fox, two playgrounds, tennis courts, an onsite restaurant and so much more, there is always something to keep the kids entertained.
Our gymnastics-loving girls absolutely loved the three jumping pillows. Having multiple jumping pillows meant they could practise their tumbling and tricks without worrying about getting in the way of other children.
We're already looking forward to our next visit when the girls can bring their stand-up paddleboards and kayaks to explore the dams throughout the park. It's the perfect destination for active kids who love being outdoors.
One of our favourite memories from this trip was fishing along the river. Both girls managed to catch fish without waiting too long, which kept the excitement levels high. As any parent knows, even the most patient kids can lose interest quickly when the fish aren't biting.
If you're looking for a family-friendly holiday park where you can easily spend an entire weekend without leaving the grounds, Moama Waters Holiday Park is definitely worth considering.

Where We Stayed at Moama Waters Holiday Park
Ensuite Site 70
The first time we stayed at Moama Waters Holiday Park we stayed on Ensuite Site 70.
What we liked about this site:
Quieter Area
Shady
Peaceful
Close to smaller pool, tennis courts, pump track and jumping pillow
The girls enjoyed riding their scooters through the quiet streets as this site is located at the back of the park
No one beside you
What were the disadvantages of this site:
This site was located at the very back of the park, although there were facilities close by, it was a long walk to the main pool, water park and boat ramp
Ensuite Site 37
On our recurring trips to Moama Waters Holiday Park we have chosen to stay on site 37. In our opinion this is the best ensuite site in the park. It has dam (water) views on one side and all the main facilities on the other side.
What we liked about this site:
Close proximity to main pool, water park, tennis courts & jumping pillow
Directly across from the large playground
Directly across from the camp kitchen (great for extended family dinners when staying as a large group
Lots of sites set up perfectly for group bookings
What were the disadvantages of this site:
This site is located close to all the major attractions of the park. This makes it busy with a lot more people around.
This site was not as private as ensuite site 70 as you have a site right next door to you. You can end up facing your neighbours.
This site is harder to get as loads of people like this particular site
I would recommend sites 35-39 and 55-60. These sites are perfect for families wanting to be close to all the major attractions and groups travelling together. However, any site in this park will still give you an amazing experience and will still be highly enjoyable.
I recommend checking the park map on the Moama Waters website when choosing your site:
We have stayed in an ensuite site each time we have stayed here. The cabins look absolutely amazing, modern and new and we would like to try a cabin on one of our next visits, however, we do like to stay on sites to save money for other attractions in the area. Ensuite sites are the best of both worlds, the budget of a camp site and the luxury of a private bathroom.
On one of our stays there was a group of women who had hired a cabin for a girls weekend away, they looked like they were having the time of their lives on the cabins deck with wine and charcuterie platters, this is so my style and after a text message to my girlfriends we set a date to enjoy our own girls weekend.
